IMPROVEMENTS

To improve safety compliance and production efficiency, individual lockers for each shift supervisors were installed to store commonly used tools and PPE (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, blades). An equipment request form was also implemented, allowing team members to proactively request items they need. Previously, these items were stored in locked HR offices, limiting access—especially during off shifts.

To streamline availability, locker keys were distributed to all shift supervisors, ensuring immediate access and minimizing delays caused by equipment unavailability. While direct cost savings are still being evaluated, the initiative has already resulted in:
• Noticeable reduction in repeat PPE violations, including missing safety glasses and gloves.
• Improved compliance with safety protocols, particularly on off shifts, where lack of access previously posed risks.
• Faster response time for equipment needs, reducing production downtime associated with missing tools or PPE.
• Enhanced team accountability and ownership over safety practices.

This improvement not only supports a safer workplace but also promotes a culture of readiness and responsibility—contributing to long-term risk reduction and productivity.
