Before: There was not a Man-Machine study to determine the best TM utilization. This allowed the process to be slower, and the TM had to wait more time to complete the activity causing not to achieve the hourly target.
After: A Man-Machine study was conducted, we defined the best way to utilize the TM time while the machine is working, in this way the TM can perform all the additional activities before the machine stops, once this happens the TM can load the machine and activate the cycle, avoiding the machine to have unnecessary stops/downtime. This maximizes the press utilization allowing producing 150 more parts a day. This is an annual savings of $54600.
