I’m not quite sure how this whole Kaizen system works, however the Fraser location is in desperate need of scales. The whole building, every machine, needs a brand new working and functioning scale. For a company that depends on operators to weigh and count product, the lack of emphasis on correcting the scale situation is unbelievable. Myself and all team leads have complained about scales for as long as I’ve worked here, one year now, every single day new scales are mentioned to someone in someway. Yet after all this time, not a single upgrade or attempt has been made to correct the situation. It’s unbelievably frustrating to try to use these scales and then get blamed when operators are overpacking or under packing because management hasn’t listened to the scale issue.
New scales throughout the whole building would help with overpacking or under packing ALL production, which in the long run would save thousands of dollars.
