Male and female parts were deposited into the same container. An operator had to manually separate the parts, increasing labor requirements and handling time.
A new End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) and robot program modification were implemented to automatically separate the parts. The male part is deposited into one container, and the female part into another.
The robot automatically separates male and female parts, eliminating manual segregation. The operator can now attend another machine, improving labor utilization and production efficiency.
Labor cost released: $3,630 USD/year
