We replaced the existing manual clamps with pneumatic clamps and added a third clamp for further stability during routing. This is safer since the team member does not need to bend and reach to secure the part into the fixture. This saves time because the team member can put in and remove parts faster since the clamps are now switch-activated. This saves money as there will be less parts damaged due to poor handling during loading/unloading into the fixture, and less poor routing from parts not being clamped in fixtures correctly. This reduces PPM and improves customer relations as we the next fixture ensures we only send the customer good parts.
