| IMPROVEMENTS | A designated area for ladder storage was implemented, including a locking system to restrict use to authorized personnel only. This improvement was aimed at preventing workplace accidents and avoiding the loss of company equipment.
Prior to the improvement, the facility experienced an estimated loss of two ladders per year, each with a replacement cost of MXN $2,000. Additionally, ladder-related incidents could result in operator injuries leading to extended medical leave.
By implementing this control, the loss of two ladders per year was eliminated, representing a savings of MXN $4,000 annually. Furthermore, the improvement prevented an estimated two ladder-related accidents per year. Each accident could result in up to 120 days of worker incapacity, with a daily labor cost of MXN $300, representing an annual savings of MXN $72,000 in labor costs.
The total estimated annual savings generated by this Kaizen initiative is MXN $76,000, equivalent to approximately USD $4,471 per year, in addition to improving workplace safety and asset control.
